Fotocodex Pro is a simplified ordering workflow for professionals who prefer to use their own album design tools such as: Adobe Photoshop/Indesign, QuarkExpress, Album DS, DG Foto Art, Apple’s Aperture and others.
Using this service is easy
Register for an account. Since this service is distinct from our normal service you’ll need a professional account.
2) Configure your application to match the page dimensions for the album format you’d like to order.
(All dimensions include a 3mm bleed along each edge of the page. This amount will be trimmed off the page before binding. Bleed is required for printing images that cover the entire page revealing no margin.)

3) Once you’ve created your pages you then export them into either a PDF (prefered method) or individual JPG files sequentially numbered to indicate the page number: page001.jpg, page002.jpg, etc. RGB Color profiles must be embedded in the images or PDF file. (PDF export without crop, bleed nor registration marks.)
- JPG Image resolution details:
- 300 dpi, RGB ICC color profile embedded
- page files need to be named sequentially following this format:
- page001.jpg, page002.jpg
- PDF export details:
- RGB Color space
- JPG convert images
- downsample to 300 dpi
- maximum quality
- include RGB color profile
- Don’t export with crop, bleed nor registration marks
5) Upload your album’s pages file (PDF or the JPGs). If you are using JPGs you may create a ZIP file containing all the pages.)
6) If you are a new client we’ll send you an invoice via email upon placing your order. Once we’ve received payment we will place yur order into process. (Established clients are billed monthly.)

Introducing the Epic Digital Photo Album!
We now offer, currently only to professionals, extra large albums whose page size measures: 413mm width x 275mm height! Shown above is the Classic (blue) on top of the Epic (chocolate) to give you an idea its size.
Leather Albums
We are really excited about our new leather album offer. The leather is has a soft supple feel and is available in: midnight blue, red, dark green and light brown.
End leaves for leather albums are either a white moire or black moire.
Printed Covers (beta)
We are trialing our printed covers with a select group of professionals. This option allows you to place images and text on the covers of your albums.
We use a high resolution flatbed printer and print on a strong and super resistant to handling linen like media which is then used to cover your book. This replaces the use of cloth! It is not a dust jacket it is the actual cover!

Album Design Services (beta)
Currently under trial to a limited number of professional photographers is our album design service. You can have your client’s album designed by Fotocodex leaving you more time to shoot events!
You provide us the photos and we design the album using professional off line album design programs.

Production Times
Each album is hand bound. We average 10 working days from when we receive your order to print and bind it.
Shipping
Our books are printed and bound in Spain. We ship normal post to the UK and Ireland. Normal transit times are 4 – 6 days.

Professional Discounts
We offer two types of discounts: page based and monthly order volume based. Discounts are calculated on the final book price only (p&p is excluded).
Discounts are cumulative. For instance a 10% discount will be applied to an 64 page album. An additional 10% will be applied to the monthly book price total if more than 10 albums were ordered that month thereby effectively yielding a 20% discount on the 64 page album. (Based on month end volume of 10 or more albums).
